Co-curricular Groups

The Co-curricular Program is an important part of student experience, with a wide range of offerings available for students to explore. Engagement in these activities promotes the acquisition of new skills, engagement with different groups of students and staff, and provides an environment for students to flourish as they explore and develop new experiences.

Creative and Performing Arts

The Creative and Performing Arts play a vital role in fostering creativity and artistic expression. We celebrate children being uniquely designed by God to express their gifts imaginatively and creatively.

Co-curricular music groups provide an opportunity for children to develop social and emotional well-being through fostering teamwork, discipline, and creativity. Some of the groups in which the students can participate include:

MPAC Singers

MPAC Singers

A choir for students in Years Three to Six, which runs weekly usually before school. The group is open entry and aims to foster a passion for singing and performing. Students have the opportunity to build their performance skills and friendships across different grades, and learn the importance of commitment and dedication. Throughout the year students perform at various events, a highlight of which is the annual Anglican Schools Corporation Choral Festival.

MPAC Bucket Drummers

MPAC Bucket Drummers

Students in Year Three to Six enthusiastically come together each week, usually at a lunchtime, playing songs and grooves on big white 20L buckets. The group is open entry. The ensemble focuses on fostering a love of performing whilst developing students' creativity and ensemble skills, particularly in playing two and three part arrangements.

Sport

Supporting students to thrive on and off the sports field helps students to develop teamwork, resilience, social skills, co-ordination and fitness. The promotion of an active sports culture is an integral part of Marsden Park Anglican College. The school is part of the Hills Zone Sports Association which provides the opportunity to develop skills and engage competitively in a broad range of sporting pursuits.

Engagement in a range of sporting activities enriches the experience of students, and allows them to explore different skills.
